WHAT IS IT?
40 days 40 heroes
Self-initiated project 2020
Role: Design manager / social media manager
Together with copywriter Selina Heathcote, I launched 40 Days 40 Heroes—an Instagram art project to raise funds for the NHS Charities Appeal during the COVID-19 crisis. Over fifty British and international illustrators contributed original artworks celebrating frontline workers and everyday heroes, each piece auctioned to support the cause.

INSIGHT
At the height of the pandemic, people longed for ways to show gratitude and help, but many didn’t know how. By creating a simple daily ritual—one hero, one illustration, one chance to donate—we turned admiration into action. The project gave artists a platform, the public a way to give back, and the NHS a boost when it was needed most.

We were covered by Creative Boom magazine and some others which helped us spread the word about the project! It felt great to be putting my energies into something really positive during such an unsettling time. Using my design management experience and connections whilst also connecting up with new amazing illustrators and creatives allowed me to curate an amazing gallery of key workers that raised over a £2,000
for the NHS charities.
